Acceptable Use Policy

The rules for using the Errandss Platform lawfully, safely, and respectfully.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the use of the Errands App (“Platform”) by all users, including customers and service providers. Its purpose is to ensure that the Platform is used lawfully, safely, respectfully, and in compliance with applicable laws and app store requirements.

2. Application

This Policy applies to all users of the Platform, all interactions facilitated through the App, and all content, communications, and transactions.

3. General user obligations

Users must:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
  • Act honestly and in good faith.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Respect the rights, safety, and dignity of others.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. Prohibited conduct

Users may not:

  • Illegal activities: engage in unlawful conduct, facilitate theft, fraud, or the handling of stolen goods, or offer or request services that are illegal.
  • Fraud and misrepresentation: misrepresent identity, qualifications, or services, provide false information, or engage in deceptive or misleading conduct.
  • Circumvention of the Platform: bypass the Platform to avoid fees, or solicit or accept off-platform payments where in-app payment is required.
  • Harmful or unsafe behaviour: engage in conduct that endangers others, or offer unsafe or unqualified services.
  • Abuse and harassment: harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse other users, or engage in discriminatory or hateful conduct.
  • Prohibited content: upload, post, or transmit content that is offensive, obscene, or inappropriate; defamatory or harmful to reputation; infringing of intellectual property rights; or misleading or fraudulent.

5. Service provider specific rules

Service providers must:

  • Ensure they are qualified and legally permitted to perform services.
  • Comply with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain professional standards of conduct.
  • Honour confirmed bookings.
  • Not provide services outside their stated expertise.

6. Customer responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide accurate service details.
  • Treat service providers with respect.
  • Ensure safe access to premises where services are performed.
  • Make timely payments.

7. Payment misuse

Users must not use stolen or unauthorised payment methods, engage in fraudulent chargebacks, or manipulate pricing or payment systems.

8. Data protection and privacy

Users must respect the privacy of other users, must not misuse personal information obtained via the Platform, and must not collect or store personal data without a lawful basis.

9. Platform integrity

Users must not:

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access.
  • Introduce malware or harmful code.
  • Reverse engineer or exploit the App.

10. Monitoring and enforcement

Errands App reserves the right to monitor activity for compliance, investigate suspected violations, remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts. Enforcement actions may include, but are not limited to, warnings, temporary suspension, permanent removal, and reporting to law enforcement.

11. Reporting violations

Users may report violations via the in-app reporting tools or by email to support@errandsza.com. Reports will be handled confidentially where possible.

12. Zero-tolerance offences

The following may result in immediate termination:

  • Fraud or theft.
  • Handling of suspected stolen property.
  • Violence or threats.
  • Serious safety violations.

13. Compliance with app store requirements

Users acknowledge that the Platform must comply with Apple and Google policies, that certain content or behaviour may be restricted to meet these requirements, and that features may be limited or removed to ensure compliance.

14. Consequences of breach

A breach of this Policy may result in suspension or termination of access, loss of earnings (for service providers), and legal action where applicable.

15. No waiver of rights

Failure by Errands App to enforce this Policy does not constitute a waiver of its rights.

16. Updates to this policy

This Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
